Mage on a tree by wraithdragon Mage on a tree by wraithdragon
Just a sketch from my sketchbook, trying to work on building a scene as opposed to just drawing a character..... because I do that a lot. I like the concept here, and I might drop it into Clip Studio Paint and ink it or perhaps try and paint over it. I don't know. I don't have a lot of time for arting at the moment, hence why most stuff is just stuff from my sketchbook these days.

They've been going well, thanks for asking! I tend to try and keep my practice and my "for show" drawings separate so it might not be showing right now haha.

I know what you mean about "practice" and "for show" drawings. But I have so little time to do polished stuff that at the moment that I'd probably never post anything if I didn't post sketchy stuff. Plus I don't mind dA being a bit "warts and all" kind of place, where people can see all my rough shit that I pretty much don't post anywhere else. =)

Not that I have a "fan-base" or anything, but I've found that it really pays to be consistent in delivering content, otherwise people will float away. But yeah, worrying about having heaps of watchers is not something that has ever really bothered me, but it is something I've seen happen to a bunch of people who did have fan bases that disappeared because they just stopped posting so much over time.

Plus I want people to know that if they want to be serious about getting better then they need to be prepared to put time in to actually getting better. It's easy to look at an awesome artist and say "they're so awesome, I'll never be that good", but if you don't see where they've come from you always just assume that they were that good. Anyways. Off topic.  =)

Thanks for your support buddy! =D

Thank you!!

As I said, I'm really trying to draw scenes, and work on perspective and general composition. I've done a bunch of these sorts of scribbles, and I'm really getting much better at all of it, which in turn is making my comic panels much better. I just wish I had more time to sit down with my tablet and get some "serious" art done. But well, at least I'm levelling up my skills slowly and quietly. =)
